Question5
How did you attract/address your audience?
Firstly, the biggest thing that stands out in our thriller is the cliffhanger at the end of the thriller which was of the pair of boots on the floor. This is a strong ending to the thriller because it will make the audience eager to find out what happens next. In other words, did the lady get raped? or murdered?. The actors in my thriller are pretty young and due to the fact that are main target audiences are quite young to, it makes it easier for them to relate to and also educate them a bit about the problems females are likely to face in this generation and the negative acts of black males in our society. Our location was based in a working class area so the environment was quite urban. Incidents such as the one in my thriller usually occur in the south of london and even though our film was in the east of london, it still looks similar and realistic.
Continuation of Question 4..
The audience for our film is simply the younger generations so this can be the under 30s. This is simply because analysing the feedbacks. (looking at some of the above) which i made in Wallwisher, the style of the comments gives a slight idea of the ages of each individual. some sound quite childish while other comments are mature. I believe our thriller is quite similar to the film thriller. our film might be a thriller but i strongly believe it fits in the urban genre well, with the story line of a black male kidnapping a girl. I believe our audience would want to watch our film because it is a story that relates to what happens in everyday life and so therefore our audiences can easily create to it. Although, there are no illustrations for it in my blog but however, me and my partner also carried out an interview in order to be able to identify our target audience. Most of our interviewees were teachers from school but their interests where the proper hitchcock type of thrillers but with our thrillers, we tried to make it more modern.Monday, 30 April 2012
